Remember when the NFL draft occurred at Riverfront Park in Downtown Nashville and several ornamental Japanese Cherry Trees were to be removed to accommodate the stage for this production?
The trees in Nashville can not speak for themselves. And, with the dramatic and sometimes unwieldy growth and development pressures in Nashville it is important to have an organization tasked to stand up and speak up for the trees.
Since its formation in 2019 the Nashville Tree Conservation Corps has been working to improve the regulatory environment regarding trees in our city. Working to assure that the tree canopy is considered on the front and back ends of developmental projects in Nashville.
Today we get an update from Jim Gregory on the groups activities since his last visit with us in 2019.
