The Warner Parks are a Nashville treasure and are now approaching their 100th birthday (2027). The Friends of Warner Park have embarked upon a $15 million dollar Capital Campaign aimed at restoring the park to its full glory in time for the centennial celebration. This means renovation of historic structures like the Allee and Entrance Gate where work is currently in progress. This also means restoring the forested areas by removing invasive plants such as bush honeysuckle, Chinese privet and Winter Creeper vine. With 1900 acres of forest, this will be a major challenge. We talk today with Jenny Hannon, President of the Friends of Warner Park, who is leading the charge.
